How do they work? Can you just have anything? Are the stupid money like over here?

I think its a first come first served basis but have to be bought every year at renewal.
I could be wrong... very wrong

You can have whatever you want on the front, or none at all. You can choose the style and background of the plate you get assigned.

Some states requite a front plate and you have to pay for the different designs, they vary on price.
