Amp confusion :/

I think I need to set up my amp, it's all wired up and working BUT!! Hardly any bass coming through the sub but also a little bit of the music is :/ I've flipped it between hpf and lpf and nothing :/

Is there a freq cut off on the sub or the amp ?! There must be one on the sub at least...

Is it an active sub, with the amp built in, or a separate amp?
Mono or 2/4 channel amp?

Sounds like the frequency filters aren't set up correctly.
You made sure all the setting are turned off on your headunits EQ, so it is just the amp filtering the sound?

so it doesn't change at all when you move the lpf/hpf switch?
