Amp power in any Clio 98 onwards!!!!!

Help! I am going to buy an Amp and Sub to go with my exsisting setup in my MK2 172 but am at a loss of how to get power from my engine bay to the boot.

So who else has managed this and can give me some hints and tips on how to get the power to the boot?

there is a hole above the passangers footwell which has enough room to run a power cable through

I cant find this on my 172! Do you mean where the bonnet release cable goes?

In the passeneger side at the bottem, pull back the carpet and stuff, and drill a hole, make sure u know exactly where u are drilling so that u dont go into any wires or anything. It should be alright as there is quite a lot of room.

I managed to do it with my m8 and then sealed the hole so that no water gets into the car.

bonnet cable release is ya best bet take off ya n/s sh*t guard as it helps with it off

also have you found a location for your amp yet as the back of the rear seats is only cloth no metal etc i removed the covers screwed wood to the metal frame then put the covers back then me amps screwed onto the back seats

Yogi - Cheers for the info, it would have been good 2 hours ago for me to have looked here! I have managed to get this in through the bonnet release grommet with only removing the power steering reservoir!

Pain in the arse of a job though which ever way you do it! With regards to amp location I am going to do a false floor and boot install over the next few weeks. I want to try and get some of it hooked up for Southend this weekend though!
