Amp/Sub Wiring help

Im currently installing a system my mates car and tomorrow were going to set up his two subs. Hes got two JL Audio 8in W3 subs and a mono Directed Audio amp (Think its 600W RMS). I think the subs are dual voice coil jobbies, how do I go about wiring this little lot up. Do I go straight from the amp to the first sub and then connect another wire from that to the second one?? I seem to remember seeing a wiring diagram for two dual voice coil subs a while ago and it looked pretty involved with wires going all over the shop!

If you go to the JL website, they have kindly put up all their manuals for the various equipment. Click on the products youve got then go to download manual. Then it will give you a whole host of options on how to get the best sound and wiring diagrames. Good product choice !! Jl stuff rocks

Hi, I had a look at the JL Audio book that he got with the subs and it seemed to make sense. We spent 10 1/2 hours on installing his stereo today, and its still not completely finished!!!! Basically we just need to plug in the second sub but it already sounds awesome with just the one. I cant believe the amount of bass you get from a single 8 inch sub. Its going to be wicked when its finished!!

Dont forget to run em in thou !! They sound so much better after they have been run in properly !!

Just finished fitting my JL V2 w6 12 " and the temptation to crank it is killing me !! Oh well just about a 100 hours to go before its run in !!
