amplifier wiring

hey there,

say i wanted my front speakers amping up, rear speakers running off the head unit and an amped sub.

i would have the sub on one amp and the speakers on another
my head unit only has 1 preout (i would use this for a sub)
i have seen on some amps that they have a hifrequency input!
does this mean i simply plug the wires that would run to speakers into the Amp.. then into the speakers??

my headunit is 50w x 4 do i really need to amp them up?

its a ph3 mk1 clio 1.2 shitbox

also if i was to buy the wiring that plugs into the opposite side of the door loom (internal door wiring) would i simply have the wiring needed for door speakers

yes or what I would do is use y leads to split your RCA to each amp

if i use y leads there would be no filtration between the front channel and the rear channel

You could buy a 4 channel amp instead of 2 amps and bridge 2 channels for your sub.

no the high level input would take the speaker cable from the h/u you would then run your speakers off the normal channels how can you run a speaker off an input use either a splitter or adjustable speaker to rca or get a four channel amp that does'nt require a seperate line input to make both f/r channels active some amps even have adjustable 1-way/2-way line input aswell

you dip! i said do i run the hilevel inputs from the headunit into the amp and then the speakers... im not dunce enough to think you could get an output from an input :dead:

Why not? Speaker level inputs for the fronts off 2 channels, the RCA out to the sub bridged off 2 remaining channels, the rears running off the HU. 4 channels no probs.

Unless you have a really powerful sub and need a high RMS monoblock.

i didnt really want to offend! i dont know that much about ice, i just want something better then standard, i dont want to go 'all out' because its only a p reg 1.2 clio. i dont really like the car much! its just a tool to get to work and drop the kiddies off and that!
