Angel eye’s

Okay who is gonna be first to do this mod to the Clio 172 mk2 as I think the mk2 xenon headlights would be perfect for it.

Ala BMW style..

yep that bit is the tricky bit, if anyone does it let me know.. I cant be held responsible and if I were you I would look into the cost of a new headlamp just incase

Just thought I would let everyone see a cheap but kewl, never done before on a clio mod .. (that I know of)

they would look trick if you could find something bendy you could actually feed it through the side light hole get some led side lights and bond it to the assembly mental

Looks cool, Dont think it would be easy to do to the mk2 172 as it looks like the headlights are sealed. Plus if you break them they are expensive

why dont you just feed fibre optics through the side light hole and glue them together on to a capless led side light bulb easy to do and if done properly will follow the contours ont the inside of the light casing

trouble is you cant use full beam for more than 5 min because it would melt the fibres

Just had a thought, wouldnt it be kewl to put them in the fog lights.. so that you could drive about with the headlights on and the Angel eyes in the fogs on. hehe

I think I might give that a try..

well what if you need the proper fogs? youd have to take them out again! And i think the fogs would just melt it all wouldnt they??

You would still be able to use your fog lights, I would wire the angel eyes up to the normal lights so that when you put your h/lights on half the angel eyes would come on too.

If putting it into an oven @ 300 degrees will just soften up the plastic, I doubt fog lights will heat up enough to melt it !

especially as it goes around the outer rim, not covering the focused beam of the fog light.

you can get a similar effect with rows of leds or fibres as said above

nearly finished my led array (made from mobile phone leds)

working on the fibre optics now

it is quite legal to show white light at the front of your car, it is not legel however to show blue or red light at the front.

Its a bit worrying that the number of lights you can do depends on the size of your ring

You must only have white light at the front at red at the black, the side however is not under any laws, but you cant give the impression of being an emergency veichle, so the coppers will typically book you if you had side neons, even tho technically theyre not illegal. Angel eyes are obviously ok though, otherwise BMW would be in trouble! Its just if you had fake ones they couldnt be too bright or whatever
