Angel Eyes LED Change Help?

  1.2 Dynam & 182FFCup
Complete novice, I have some angel eyes on my Mk2. One of/or the LED inside one of the angel eyes isnt working at all. Can anyone give me a rough instruction on how to get to the LED so I can change it?

Thanks for your time.

I reckon most would probably think the same as me - swap your angel eyes headlights for some oem ones, preferably some xenon units from a 1*2. Angel eyes should be reserved for BMW's as far as I'm concerned.

If you really want to fix it you're probably just gonna have to take it off and have a look for yourself (unless it's accessible from the engine bay, which I doubt). Although I can see it'd be better to have some prior knowledge, otherwise you could end up having to re-fit and re-align it, without even having fixed it, just to get your head around what needs doing.

You could get lucky, there may be someone on here who has fixed one previously.

You'll have to enlighten me, I honestly dont have a clue what OEM's are.

Im pretty sure the LED's are part of a sealed unit, Is that even possible?

I third that. Remove them. They have no place on any car imo. Beemers only get away with it because that's where it started. Look gash imo.

Im the opposite to the "purists" on here and i do have angel eyes, 2 of mine went last year on the passenger side, i tried everything to get them working, ended up shelling out £75 for a new one :/, if your feeling brave you can try pick or melt all the glue from the edges and gain access that way but other than that you could be buying a new one im afraid

Haha thanks for the input guys, granted theyre pretty chavvy but regardless of the stereotype association I do like them.

That sucks, The problem is too i've literally just bought them and the seller claims that its not a sealed unit.
I just dont know how to get in there myself. :S

Yeah I supposedly have a 12 month gurantee, if I cant get to it, ill just see if i can get a new unit, as my one is faulty. As for the make, Im not too sure. Like I said, complete novice.
