Another aircon problem.

Basically all settings work, just cant turn the damn thing off. Can change the temp no problem, can change where it blows from, can change the speed of the fan, everything but turn the fecker off. When i start the car up, it blows really fast for a couple of seconds then slows down to the speed setting. Currently have it set to blow in the footwells as thats where its the quietest ^^

I know the resistor pack is a common problem, but, when that goes, dont you just lose control of everything?
