Another amp/sub/speakers question

  1999 Clio Alize
I am thinking about wiring up my door speakers to a four channel amp, and then use the RCA out on that amp to link it to the monoblock for the sub.

In terms of power leads is it OK to bridge them, ie. power the 4 channel as normal and then take the power lead from that to the sub amp too?

I also have a couple of questions with regards the actual installation of the amps.

Firstly, I have heard that it is best to run the power cables and the RCA cables down seperate sides of the car, is that right? And does that also apply to the speaker cables?

Then secondly, how do I actually go about connecting the remote power cable to the stereo/car wiring loom? Ideally I don't want to be chopping the wiring loom up, but I have considered a chocolate block connector, just wondered if there was a better way of doing it?

Cheers guys

Anyone?

Bridging power cables, is that okay?

How is it best to connect the remote lead?

Which sides of the car should I run the cabling?

For connecting my remote, I just used tape to hold it in lol.

Im not sure about the bridging, I've got two power cables, two remotes cables, and two ground cables, and two RCA cables, one each for my speaker amp, and one each for my sub amp. Well I did anyway, before my sub was nicked! But I think you can bridge some of them, not sure which ones though.

Re. Power cables I've got my Power and remote cables down the passenger side, and the RCA cables down the driver side.
With speaker cable I just ran the passenger side speaker wire down the passenger side, and driver side speaker cable down the drivers side.

Have a look on talkaudio forum, its dedicated to in car audio.

Firstly running the cables down opposite sides makes absolutly difference whatsoever, it's a myth that somebody started. If you are getting interference chances are it's a bad earth or the head units earth tracks are blown, common problem on pioneer units.

For the amps you want to use a distribution block which will spilt the larger cable into smaller ones, however be careful because as a rough number if your running more than 1000 rms you want to be running 0awg cable from the front and then split to 4awg in the boot with a dissy block.

I don't really understand your question about the remote lead, but basically just run it from the amp to the head unit and connect with solder and tape or a pair of connector clips.
