Another Can Clip thread.

Just bought myself a VCI clone with can clip. Now the 182 does not like this whatsoever and shows that it has no compatible sensors. As I was told it would fit/work with my 05 182 its off back to them.


Square one again. Does anyone have a link to one that works with the 182 , this was a pita to connect and I've tried against Windows 10 and Windows 7 VMware to get it to work and sort my steering angle issue. It was running V229 which I guess is over kill for what I need.

Any links are advice would be greatly appreciated and I have search the forums but alot of the eBay links are now dead.

For anyone interested ive ended up with this, should arrive tomorrow.
The seller has helped with setting up the software and sent me the correct software through for the 182. Turns out the VCI is too new and uses a different set of sensors to log the ECU.

Triple post , apologise.

I've used this today and re calibrated the steering angle sensor after tracking had given me the -89k turns. No warning lights at all now on the dash and the steering angle sensor is reading true.

I've also recalibrate the speedos speed sensor for the change in wheel size so should get a truer reading.

Is clip a daunting bit of kit. I suppose it depends on your back ground within IT. However the headings are self explanatory a d there's mutiple are you sure boxes.

All in all I'm happy with the purchase and it's certainly saved me the headache of trying to find a specialist nearby. For the time it took to drink a brew my clio is now MOT ready.

I appreciate the reply, i had triple replying but if it helps one person out who is looking im all for it. If people need a guide on what i did again im more than happy to create one. The problem is with charging, everybody and there nan has diagnostics today. im more likely to make £20 from ad revenue on YT
