another lamba mot

i had one lambda sensor replaced on friday, had the ECU reset today so the light would go off, had my mot and it failed by 0.01 on the lambda readout, they advised to get it replaced, on their computer thingy that linked to the car the lambda seemed to be working properly, but it failed again on the lambda thing, C02 etc was ok and mechanincally sound just the sensor,

Do i need to get it replaced even if their computer thingy that linked to the car said both the sensors workd properly?

and... are the GSF lambda sensors the same as renualt?

how olds your car, technically if its under warranty, you could take it back to renault, as if its an mot failure then the car is un road worthy because of a renault part.

Could it be the other Lambda sensor if you have only replaced one?

not under warranty anymore, i dotn really want to spend another £95 on a sensor, im gonna get some redex and go again!!!

try some forte petrol treatment if you can get it ,worked a treat on my old laguna when it failed the emissions test

Take the car for a long blast and get it hot before going to the test station

Lambda sensor is not a warranty item iirc

Genuine Renault Lambda are Bosch and GSF and ECP do not do Bosch items.

I bought mine (Bosch) through Central Auto Spares for £40 VAT inc.

with the 200cell cat they do seem to be better once nice and hot, dont get a cheap lambda sensor in the long run they start to give lazy readings and affect fueling/performance etc.

you dont have to goto renault stealers though just get a Bosch from auto parts shop.

Mine has just failed on Lmaber sensor readings - everything else was fine.
