Another Silverstone Track Day....

I've done threads like these before, where I basically go up to Silverstone when a friend is tracking and go around being a creepo with a Camera. there wasn't too much interesting today, it is a Winter TD after all.

Was pretty wet on track, got a chance to go out in my friends FD2 which has recently had a lot of work on it (2.2l, proven 280bhp N/A). His new track wheels were a tight fit and may need more work, but it does sit lovely. (Volk TE37s)

This V12Vs was struggling to lay the power down the whole way up the pit straight, but sounded absolutely incredible.

Another car really struggling to lay down power, and keep in a straight line was this Impreza WR1. Owner later said its pushing the 600bhp level, which would explain a lot.

"His and Hers" Mclaren MP4-12C's turned up. Both of them using them properly on track.

Being used correctly! I followed him in his countach once. For about 10 seconds then he was gone from view!

Awesome! IIRC the story with the Clio is he bought the press car off Renault when they were done with it? It's in great nick considering it's hard use.

Thanks! And good eye. The owner tells us its got around 400bhp, with a sorted diff set up so its 4x4 system is running a 50:50 split.

Awesome! IIRC the story with the Clio is he bought the press car off Renault when they were done with it? It's in great nick considering it's hard use.

He bought it on route napoleon, in the middle of the car of the year test for Evo.

I heard it's boring unless you've got about 500bhp+

It's pretty expensive for a track day, you can tell from my previous threads with the stuff that usually shows up. I love it, it's my local track so I guess I gotta. Some very fast corners that in the right car you can flow round nicely.
