Another Toxic warning light thread, different though

hey guys, ive got the toxic warning light on i wounderd how long it would take! just wounderd, the car seems to be running normal, but my MPG is lower than normal, like about 25-26 when normaly its 30-33 :S

no missing or anything, maybe its the lambda sensor sumwhere? where would i get a replacement???

Upstream lambda most likely, needs the fault codes reading to be sure.

correct me if im wrong but youd need a diagnostic first to double check - think reno charge 70 quid for these.
</p>try a reno specialist to see if they are cheaper

yep..defo save time and money by putting it on the diagnostic...some garages do it for free (if your female..lol )
My light came on because of the o2 sensor before the cat..best to get a genuine renault replacement as the others can be funny. then you need to get the fault reset to get rid of the light.

is my thread showing results when I changed my lambda.

I was told on CS that the downstream lambda is purely diagnostic (pureley to turn on that farking light). But I'm not so sure anymore. I'm going to plug the hole on my decat with a bolt and leave the lambda bagged up, on the loom, hidden somewhere.
Upstream lambda is the main cause of poor MPG tho.

Upstream lambda is £49 from GSF and a common fault and no need have fault reset to extinguish the light.
