Anti roll bar... pics inside!

Ive just check this anti-roll bar for my Clio Sport.

So, what do you think? It really improves the handling? Does the car feels harder (I am running 17" wheels)? It is okay to intall only the front one?

Thank you!

Jeez, I can´t figure how to post the picture in this new forum:cry:

ooops...a little bit of mixed up terms.

Thats a strut bar, an ARB links the two lower suspension arms together and helps prevent roll through transferance of force in the opposite direction of teh compressing side during a turn.

The strut bar will just tie the front end together and help reduce flex/increase chassis stiffness.

I cant say how stiff the clio shell is already, but any gain is a gain. And it will help to keep origianl suspsneion settings at their rightsettings through a hard corner and over bumpy surfaces.......

Well Ive got both, the front one is on the car, I painted it black so it looks a lot better than the one in the pic, in my opinion. But apart from that, there is no other benefit, the car feels just the same, but then again, Ive got standard 15in wheels. The rear one is currently under my bed, most likely to stay there for a while. At least until I find a way to shut it up because it makes a horrible knocking sound everytime the road is not even, which is VERY frequent here in Mexico.

So, how much are they asking for them in PITS? I ordered mine from Demon Tweeks and was relatively cheap.

Saludos.

They want $1,600 MXP for the front one and $1,000 for the rear one. Like 100 and 63 pounds I think.

Mmmm, no benefit from the front bar and a horrible noise from the back one. Maybe I better wait for some other mod for my car.

I haven´t seen your Clio on the gallery OOO although you are a member. Drop me an email to mailto:rivera_luis68@yahoo.com">rivera_luis68@yahoo.com if you like to share our experiences with our Clios.

BTW, my car has a rattling plastic noise coming from the back seat, what about your car?

Saludos! :D

PS. No sabes cuantos usuarios son de Mexico?

the rear is an absolute waste of time and money.. it supports nothing... the front would be ok if you use it on a track, but on the road it will make no difference.

oh, and Ben m8 ;)

not always the case that the stiffer the chasiis the better. Modern design allows for some flex and the suspension angles and geometry can take advantage of such. Not sure about the clio, but as I said above, I cannot see ANY difference being made on a road car at all.

agreee.....

yamaha had an awful year in GP when they made the *STIFFEST* chassis in teh world......engineered flex is good....in some cases.
