any clio 225 pics

i cant find any pics of the clio 225 ? apart from 1 dodgy megane rs lookalike

any thouhts, what would its 0-60 be if it weighed same/close to the 172?

With VW bringing out the 240bhp golf, renault would be silly not to put a suped up Meganne Turbo engine into a clio and make it a Clio240.

Yes but the Golf will weight loads more than the Clio most likely 1500kg, so having 240hp wont be enough to embarise the Clio with only 180 or so HP

Renault may being out a new Clio turbo with the new shape Clio but I wouldnt imagine they wouldnt give it 240hp. Cars with loads of HP and FWD have trouble with grip look at the ALfA V6 thingy etc. Also by offering 200hp turboes they can 2 or so yrs later offer more powerful versions cheaply to increase sales.

Thing is, your average dude doesnt understand power to weight! They just see size of the engine, BHP and think oh this has 200bhp so its obviously faster then this car with 170bhp. Only reason Pug bought out the 180 is for BHP figure war, people see 180bhp and think its quicker then the 172.

Theres a guy at work, got a 1.8na Passet, 0-60 about 11 seconds, now hes been blabbing on about how quick it is and thinks its quicker then anything with a smaller engine. Dont know how many times Ive told him that just cos its a 1.8 doesnt mean its fast, me feckin 1.4RT is quicker then it!! But no, hes insistent that its obviously quicker then a 1.8 16v Clio because his Passat is a 1.8 20v, bigger engine = quicker. Oh and cos its got Sport wrote on it, thinks that means something special as well!!!

this is true. so on that point, i think they will bring a 200bhp clio (small car frontwheel drive,gotta be able to put it down) and 225 for the megane RS. megane will have more luxury and do it in 6.5 and clio will be lighter and simular in shape and with 200bhp do it in 6.2 (but actual reading from drivers will report back 5.9. whether it will have a turbo??? i think maybe not but i could be wrong the CTR has 197 bhp without turbo so...

Ive got people like that at our place. Guy with Focus 1.8 Zetec. Thinks its a bleeding sports car. Bloke with a 2.0 vetra also reckons hes as quick as me.

Do you think Reno might try a RWD Clio and Megane in the shapes? Sorta V6 style, or front engined rwd? Could be a really mental moter if they did, up the power and rwd, scare some real big sports cars then!

no i dont think they would change the formula. the V6 is a flagship, so reno will not unseat the king. however a genuine 200bhp din or 197 in a clio weighing in at around the same as my 172 would be nice so would a turbo (for chipping+removing catback) it would prob do 6.2 if the ctr does 6.7 and clio weights less.

I asked my dealer about the new clio with the megan 225 engine in it, he said it would be a 200bhp detuned version.

thought so. that means retuning..hehe. will you go for megane RS or Clio200 given that may both look very simular (clio having the edge).

it will only be fast if the weight has been kept to a minimum like 172/CUP
