Any good tips for vista and windows xp

I.e. Is there any hidden features etc etc

Disable File Indexing in XP and Vista, makes it run quicker, but searches are slower.

I'm looking on trying to improve performance(by getting rid of or disabling un needed programs/ functions).

My laptop has 120gb hd and 1gb ram and is used for net mostly and uploading digital camera pics and occasional microsoft office spreadsheets etc if that helps

Whats a slipstreamed version of xp ?

XP with extra's (service packs etc) "slip streamed" into the install disk.. just means after what looks like a standard install you already have service packs/apps etc installed.
