Any hints or tips for shooting my car at night?

  Fiesta ST-3
Going to do a photo shoot of the clio tonight for the first time, any tips from the pros?

All shots are going to be static and i have a tripod already. Anything i need to consider?

If your using a tripod, your better off using longer shutter speeds rather than bumping the ISO up.

Have a look at some other peoples photos that you like and copy them.

Long exposure (remote/bulb mode) then point the torch at the car, or at the camera to do this:

Revels pics are really good, i need to get my book out and figure out how to fiddle with aperture and tings and have a play, i usually just stick it on a tripod and let it do its thing.

You see the lights in the top pic, how they've 'starred' thats because of the lower (but higher aperture) as you've shot it at f4, you got more of a splodge. f14 or something like that would have given you starry.

Just something to remember for next time, but they look good.

One of the results.

Extremly happy with how it came out tbh. The rest can be found here http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?531183-Clio-Night-Shots

Make sure you either use a remote or put the timer on to prevent camera shake when triggering the shot.

Night shots arent too hard. Just take a bit of practice. Play about with shutter speeds etc. Depends what effect you are going for.

Also, F22.6 (apparently!) and it still only gives this 6-lined effect, although they are sharper:
