any ideas ?

taking the car in wednesday ! engine doesnt start first time when i get up in the mornings ??? or when its bin sat their for more than 2 hours ?? it takes a few goes not good ! anyone have an idea wa it could be ? dad thinks its the battery might have gone s**t ..

How old is the car ? How long has that battery been in it ??

2003 reg , not sure how long the battery been in ! had the car 3 weeks now .could have been in since new maybe ?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery & charging it up ??
Does it hold a charge ??

no i havnt tried ? i got a one month warranty on the car so hopefully if its just tha baatery they will change it for free cos when im starting the engine the battrey light duz come on ?? but then goes off like 2 minutes later

Battery light should come on for about 5 secs when you swtich the ignition on, it shouldn't be on for 2 mins at all. It could be the alternator if the batt light comes on though.

Not to bad needs a new aux belt at the same time so it can ad up a bit.

all fixed was some sorta sensor in the engine ! only took half hour this morning , covered under warranty ! my car starts

rite the aa came out this morning cos i couldnt start her !! The head gasket has gone :O expensive ! they told me about £500 cos they have to change other parts to get to it e.g timing belt etc even tho my warranty is up the car i rang up the car dealer where i brought her from and had a few words ! my car is now back their being fixed for free result

It won't be the headgasget I know why they think it is but it won't be.

Still its under warently plus new cambelt so worthwhile.

well they ran test with this gas testing thing and the guy was pretty sure thats wa is foooked he said it was jus losing compression

A way of telling a head gasget has gone is to check for a amyonaise like substacne under the coolent the 1,.2 suffers from thios but due to the driving charecteristic ie not long runs not the head gasget going the stock head gagste very very very relaible realy.
