What kind of mods are you into though? Engine mods, or bodwork etc mods, or interior, like ice etc?

  NEED V6!

havent really modded a car b4 so all your advice is appreciated.

gdi do a 200bhp package for about £2000 or there abouts i think! leave you with change for the suspension

Leda coilovers then good brakes (4 pots personally but pads etc are a good idea) then some better wheels to help cool the brkaes as stock ones arn't very good either Turini etc would be my favoured way.

Does the GDI kit include an exhaust system? If not, then get that sorted first, then take it to GDI for the 205bhp package.

Then with the change buy some FK coilovers or something.

That should sort the car out a treat.

Then when you save some more cash, perhaps get some new wheels, like magnesium wheels, so they look the nuts and are light as fook :D

Why not go to the Caribbean instead?

The 182 is one of the finest hot hatches ever but it's problem is being FWD. If you're bored with the car then just move up the ladder, be a man and get a RWD.

No point spending thousands on a FWD unless you are going to race it. You could probably do a year's worth of track days in a 182 before getting bored. RWD will be more of a challenge and make you a better driver because of it.

The best modification to make is to yourself. No, not bigger tits, driver tuition. Get on some trackdays with a pro instructor and you'll learn lot and get so much fun out of it. Much more worthwile than bragging rights down the pub.

All in my humble opinion...

I agree with blacksheep here. Its pointless spending thousands on a car which has all its power go through the front wheels. Why not save the money or buy something else?
You will only regret it further down the line. :)

I don't expect anyone to listen though. It's the sort of thing you look back on when you're 40 and think "I can't believe i did that!"

I am a bit of a hyprocrite as i've spent loads on cars and have regretted it all. Lol.

good points blacksheep i will only buy something if im positive i need it.
myabe i shall leave it how it is
thinking of moving onto an evo next so might leave it for that

Good advice

I've done exhaust, sports cat and panel filter on mine and am now going to stop...couldn't justify spending any more on it and it's plenty quick enough.

Since when has modding cars ever been sensible?

£1k - FK suspension and Prospeed exhaust
£2k - Manifold match and ECU remap with above
£3K - Schrick or AWT cams with both of the above

Check out Yozzasport and GDI websites.

I reckon spending on getting into and around corners would be number 1, 182's are plenty quick as standard.

  Weeman sucks ****
Coilovers has to be first, full exhaust system with decat;) Apart from that it's not worth wasting the cash on other mods imho...spend the money on trackdays:D

Why bother with all that 'engine dressing' s**t?!

p.s. 182 brakes are s**t for some reason compared the the 172's...get a better setup, which can be done for peanuts.
