  anything
is it possible to put a 197 inlet on a 172 ? how much work is involved and what are the gains after a map,, seen a you tube vid and made me think lol

  ITB'd MK1
Think it's an australian company doing these. Not a simple job, head has to come off and be re-worked to match the much larger ports of the 197 manifold. Think i'd only bother if you had a 197 head to fit, but even then you'll lose the fully variable inlet cam timing which is one of the nicer bits of the 197 setup, unless you upgrade a load of other things (ecu for a start)

As said, there's more worthwhile and cost effective upgrades available

^^ yeah i've read about this on the Aussie site. Expensive job too. You'd be better off with the JMS inlet is my guess, cheaper and effective
