Any way to test aknock sensor ?

I want to check the whole system, not just the sensor itself, but also the connector, the loom, and the interaction with the ECU.
Unplugging the sensor doesn't turn on the check engine light, doesn't show any fault codes in "Torque Pro" OBD app, also can't feel any difference in power (as I expected the ECU to change the ignition time to be as safe as possible without a knock sensor).
I don't have access to a proper diagnostic tool such as CLIP/rstuner, anything else I can do ?

to check the loom, unplug the harness from the computer, you will need a pin out diagram of the connector to bridge the wires going to the sensor, then check for continuity on the sensor plug...

  dan's cast offs.
to test properly you need to scope it. why do you think there si something wrong with it?
