My mate's off to powerflow this Friday and I can get a full cat-back system with any tailpipe style I want for £160 ish.
Anyone had any experiances of them?

Mine was 304 stainless , lifetime warranty , he should have took it back . I had no problems with the lads at Burnley Powerflow .

Just make sure you keep the receipt safe in case you should have a problem then they would have to sort it .

yeah, have had a powerflow on my last 2 cars, cant fault the exhausts, the customer service wasnt up to much though

i got powerflow on mine now, great peeps, it was knocking a tad so took it back and they fixed it free of charge, then one of the rubber hangers broke a few months down the line, they just said drop it in anytime and they have a look....good stuff!

Do you reckon they could get a powerflow exhaust to be an exact copy of the standard one. If it offers no power increase and doesn't affect the looks of the car then it shoudln't affect your insurance premium should it? Just a thought for when mine goes it could be a more reliable option. what do you reckon?

i've got a stealth system made by powerflow which is exactly as u described, only difference is is that its a bigger bore so makes a nice sound, power increase is debatable

Middo - If you don't mind me asking - what kind of price was it for your stealth system? I'd like a new exhaust for mine without having a tailpipe coming out through the bumper - prefer the subtle look but beefy sound!

the majority of the quickest clios run powerflow exhausts.

their quality can be a bit dodgy, but with a lifetime garauntee.who cares.it breaks............u get a new un....free of charge.

i had a powerflow on this 172 before it corroded, fell to bits and rattled like mad.

wouldnt bother, the steel they use is crap, the welding was shocking and the build quality matched only by Renault themselves.

I used a guy called Andy from Zorstec Near Bradford, the pipe he built for mine was spot on from grade 304 stainless, superb build quality, 80 odd tailpipe designs to choose from. have a look at his work, blooming superb, especially some of the bike exhausts hes made.

My last 3 cars have had powerflow and I can`t fault them....I went back recently to sort something out (which they did for nowt) and he mentioned that mine (nearly 3 years old) was an old one and they use a much better grade of SS now. I think it does vary from branch to branch but I know on the Civic Type R forum they love `em...people have driven hundreds of miles to get their exhaust done there.

exactly mate.....iv seen londoners come to burnley for the zorst fitting there......even tho theres an outlet a hell of a lot closer to them.

my last 2 have had powerflow zorsts on...the mrs' will have wen hers falls off too...which wont be long the way she drives lol.

mine will have been fitted 4 years this year.....never had 1 bit of trouble with it. just take it back evry year for their signature on the card an a chat lol.

i actually paid 280 for a cat back exhaust which had 2 oval pipes out of the back. i had a few problems with the fitment as i asked for it to be moved, so in the end they made me a stealth system as an exchange. however they are normally around the 260-280ish dependant on where you go.

as said above they do use a higher grade of stainless to stop it tarnishing as much. think its 304grade - but i honestly cant remember lol.

i also recommend their universal sports cats ;)

Hmm, the thought of a nice sounding exhaust with no added insurance premium sounds very nice! I'm half starting to want my exhuast to go so I can get one! I'm on 43k, how much longer do you reckon it's got?

btw...mines bent to exact same shape as oe .....jus s/s......like u want gaz.

i declare mine as s/s replacement system.......which is wot it is really.

  Turbos.
Its a franchise, so its whatever the experience of the guy doing it.

If i was bothered about my Clio i would only get an exhaust developed for the car.

  LOTS!

That was my logic too - mines developed a rattle but suspect that it just needs tightening tbh. Other than that, I've had no problem with mine. Chose to have it without a tailpipe option too so it just bends down behind the bumper like a stealth system.

I probably would have got a K-Tec given the choice but my zorst fell off and I had to use the car that weekend so I was forced to get the best I could afford and get instantly! Mine was done in Leamington - a 205GTi Rally Specialist so I had faith in them being quite good.

They offered me a decent discount too on Superchips while I was there. Didn't take it of course!

I had mine fitted at Powerflow in St Albans, they did a good job and i've only had one problem that was found a couple of days later-just part of the exhaust hitting the gear selector which was sorted within 15minutes.

Exhausts Uk supposingly use a better grade stainless steel though, the bf had his fitted in Sheffield and the guys there were very helpful told us where to go for things to do etc (living in Cambridge and having no idea of what was around it was useful) it did take a few more hours to do than mine though

^as above should have taken it back they would have fixed it no quibbles. And as i said earlier they do use 304 grade stainless

Had a pwoerflow on my old 19 and it was cracking, guy before me put it on but it was lovely.

Again, it was an exact copy of the original setup bar a slightly bigger tailpipe (the 19 as standard has a weird pipe trim that looks big but quickly narrows, this new one just didn't narrow :) ).

Tempted to get a stealth one for my 172, and head office is only round the corner from work :)

Stealth on my old 172 was £270 for a cat back . I miss the sound now i've got a 182 , as soon as it drops off i'm back to Powerflow :)
