Anyone else so utterly bored with COD online?

Just had another 5 minute go. Yep, 5 minutes as that's as far as my interest goes with it. This is on COD:WaW, but I've experienced the same with COD4.

In both games, I really, really liked the single player game. And in WaW, the zombie add-on is brilliant - in fact both my nephew and I put a few hours into it last night.

But the online side of it just bores me senseless. I think I'm around Level 10 at the moment (I'm not too sure - which show's you how interested I am - lol!) and from that, I appreciate that I'm barely one rung up the ladder from total cannon-fodder.

But in that last 5 minutes, I died three times and killed seven. Of those seven, I would say that four kills made by me were just utter bullshit. There was no skill, just reactionary fire from my SMG to some bloke who had a red name tag above his character.

Two of my deaths were by the Camping Twins, hidden in the shadow of a couple of boxes, where I just happened to cross their line of sight and the last one was a well-aimed headshot from a bloke with a rifle.

I dare say that if I stuck with it and unlocked the joke items of the bouncing bettys and double-tap, that I may enjoy it more. But as it is (and to get to that stage) I just CBA. The endless see-saw of death-kill-death-kill-to infinitey just grates after a mere few minutes.

And finally, whyTF doesn't anyone appear to play in squads or teams? Team deathmatch is little more than Free-for-All, but with different coloured name tags...

I just hate the "cheaters" on there, really what is the point. I've come across loads of turbo pad users in the last few weeks and the I really hate the sad t***s that jump around like Bambi just so you cant shoot them as they are 10feet in the in air lol.

I also hate the noobs that go round with the rocket launcher that you can fire from the hip and just aimlessly fire into buildings when playing HQ!!!!, yeah your dead skill full ain't ya!

meh COD WAW & 4 are crud online..too many cheats and too fast paced. See,shoot,kill,die,respawn,see,shoot,kill,die ...

Need a skillful game like Delta Force games and day of defeat source..bigger maps rather than same old constricted levels.

Have to say I barely made level 30 on W@W whereas I prestiged on COD4.

I do prefer the battlefield games as I think the destructible environments add a different element. Bad company 2 will be immense, better than MW2 imo!

It is the same old kill, die, kill die, die, die , die etc and I do get bored of online shooters but everytime a new one come sout it holds my attention for a while.

Socom is seriously tactical and can be ace if everyone is talking on their mics and playing their part!

Killzone 2 is a rush but some of the maps are very enclosed and spawn campers with rocket launchers mean you run out kill someone, die and rinse and repeat!

my major pet hate is the 3 x frags... people just endlessly throw them cooked everywhere at respawn sites and where they ''guess where people are... i know it is a legitimate tactic but it has zero skill to it.

im finding it bored abit, stoped playing zombies as its gettin abut boring after a while, more levels of it would be fun

im on level 65, goin prestige next, but that has taken me 11months to get were i am lol, about just over a day of play time not bad.

but i hate people who have the carbine and just kill you in seconds when your shooting them with the ppsh-41 , just doesnt make sense

it annoys me at times, but thats the same with any online game. Currently on Prestige 5, its awesome how quick you can rank up. Only really play team deathmatch or free for all, played about 5 or 6 games and i am at rank 13 again. love it to be honest.

I am however getting really pissed with the connection of COD4 recently. I dont know if its me or crappy peer to peer connections we have to suffer. If we don't get dedicatd servers I might switch to the XBOX!

I play the COD on my mates XBOX and connection is spot on always and the community seems better but the only game I play is COD4 so its abit silly buying a different console. I've racked up about 60K kills now with about 28K deaths

of allllllllll the things in cod games that arent realistic... you pick that :rasp:

personally i thought cod has always had a good balance of guns and which ones are good in certain situations, making them all one hit one kill (near enough) means its a G3 bore-fest imo

Sniping is good on Bog, Wet Works and maybe Overgrown depending on how you're feeling...

Hardcore is good but I was more interested in upping prestiges than maybe getting 10kills in a match whereas Sabotage you can get a minimum of 25kills if it lasts the full time!

I started getting bored of it recently but only due to being unemployed and playing for hours on end.

However I went back to halo for a few days and now cod has never looked so good.

Try mixing up your games HC/C+ all the C game modes.

Saying that I've played it so much now I can't wait for MW2. I had the same with COD4. Just overkilled it abit I think

I'm with bunny on HC it's so much better. Generally the players are better and it's more about tactics you gotta really think about what your doing sometimes.

On core you can just Leg it round spraying rounds. I play core with my music on loud and don't think to much but HC you really have to listen etc. IMO.

But then me and bunny are ace. Haha.
