Anyone had problems with standard cd unit

just out of interest anyone had problems with theirs? on turning on electrics or engine and off cd player will give out a heavy clicking noise like something is catching, spoke to someone at my work today and they have the same problem, renault have had the cd player back twice and said no fault....so why does it make shady noises?

Its probably the relays switching on and off.

Not much you can do some of the relays are noisy.

mmmm..dealer has just called me with their proposal to resolve matter....a second hand tape unit......now thats an offer thats hard to say no to eh! wtf

i get the same noise, but got a sony unit fitted mate. dont think its anything to do with HU i believe it comes from the heater system behind the centre console??

possibly lazer mech reseting itself - had similar noises coing from a lag 2 headunit last week - take it to reno and ask them to send it off to be looked at and possibly repaired - there is now a new warranty method reno have brought in related to radio faults - - it has to be sent back to reno UK
