Anyone had this problem...

Will be driving along nicely when suddenly the engine managment light comes on. The revs drop and i can put my foot to the floor and they wont go past 2000. Anyway turn the car on and off and its fine again :S Happend today although this time it wouldnt work so after 15 minutes i gave up. Left the car went to McDonalds came back and boom it worked again. Before i take it to get checked, just wanna know if this is a common fault maybe sensor or fuel pump etc. Cars a 1.2 03 clio

Limp mode, probably the O2 sensor.
