I knew i had seen someone with them on OcUK,cheers mate looks to be worth doing.

Bazzon on a side note:

just picked up a Canon 18-55 IS for £70, you used one of these?

  ?
Seriously, do it. Looks miles better and can be really cheap if you spray it yourself (you can get a good finish too if you follow the guides/take your time prepping)

Yeh im not concerned about the spraying as i was a painter for quite a few years. Just wanted to see if it made the car look cleaner.

I got a 18mm - 55mm canon lense with my 350D never use it at all, I have a 10-20 sigma 28-105 sigma and a 70-300 sigma, these are the only lenses i use at.

I really dont know any thing about the canon lens range cos the only one i can afford if the 50mm, which i will buy in 2 weeks :D

Nooooooo!

Ph1's look so much better with the black strips! I'm an ex-Ph1 172 owner, so i can comment. ;)

I think Photobucket may have degraded the quality of my work a little. Rather annoying considering the amount of time I put into it:

Lol anything to help. In all honesty it took 2 mins in paint (no really :)).. I've not got Photoshop on here I'm afraid. Hopefully inspire somebody to do it for you properly though eh!

I quite like it both standard and colour coded tbh. I'm going to colour code mine, but mainly because it's black and the plastic looks dirty against it. Christopher's idea could be good as well.

It depends on the year your car is made I believe. After a certain year, which I forget, it is a straight swap; but before that year you need to make the holes slightly larger for them to slot into. It's nothing major though.

I'm not sure, folk have done it though, but i'm not sure what you'd need (it may just be the clips or something)

You're best checking with people like Couzens, I know he did it.

If your holes are square it's a straight swap, but if they are circular then it will require a bit of cutting and lacquering. At least that's what I was told when I was considering doing it!

Should be a straight swap. But if you put Ph 2 ones on you have to do both front and rear as they are different widths to the Ph 1 strips.

aye ph2 ones fit straight on. as said need both front and back parts of the strips.

i have them on mine colour coded, but with white bullets :)

Might have to start looking in breakers yards :)

They look sweet with the ph2 strips.

Yeah I think it looks much better! Thus why Renault realised their mistake and "upgraded" them on the Ph2's :D

Keep standard - I put on CC'd Ph2 strips and went back to black on my old Ph1. If you HAVE to colour-code, then make it a set of Ph2 strips.
