Anyone have perimitor protection

  20VT Clio & 9-5 HOT

Thinking of getting it added to my Clifford alarm. Anyone know if its worth it.

Dont particularly want anyone near the car when im not about, but is it gonna attract more attention than its worth? What about when the cars in a parking space and someone gets in the next motor?

£70 fitted aint bad I thought.

Also what about a pager. I fancy one as Im paranoid someone is having a go at my car all the time. :-(They dont call me paranoid adams for nothing)-: Whats the range Ive heard its poor?

Worth it???

Cheers! :)

A friend of mine has possibly what you are talking about. It can be adjusted for distance but if anyone gets too close to the car, the alarm shouts STAND BACK or something like that.

This amuses children who want to play round it and keep setting it off!

Yeah, my cousin has one on his civic. Its pretty annoying cause as soon as anyone or anything gets near it, this loud ringing sound comes on. If it persistently comes near, then the alarm will sound. Sometimes even the cat sets it off. But if ur that paranoid about ur baby, this maybe the answer

I have proximity sensors - well it just came with my Clifford 600. You can alter the sensitivity, so the cat never sets mine off.

I think its bloody useful, mine only triggers if someone comes within cms of the car, or leans over the windscreen or tries to look thru the windows up close. Sometimes it is triggred by strong winds or rain, but still worth it for the paranoid amongst us :D

wot about a big feck off rotveiller devil dog n some barb wire? nightmare on ur leather though :p

its peace of mind mate but even with the perimeter alarm and pager youll still be nervous when leaving it parked anywhere, sorry mate! Personally i wouldnt have it purley cos round my way (derby) youd just get sh*ts keep setting it off and trying to drain the battery! I think for 70quid i would go for a disc lok ( a good visual deterent ).
