Anyone heard of Nankang Tyres

After reading a few posts about tyres i decided to check what i had on mine and theyre Nankangs.

Anyone ever heard of them??? I sure aint!

Yeah they are cheap tyres usually put on sets of alloys when bought as a package by default. Similar to Hankook I think in the price department.

yeah there the best (cough cough)

really they are good though... worth the money and they are a hard compound so will last a while!

they last ages and are pretty good in the dry especially for the money, not too clever in the wet, but they are cheap !

i think there made by Yokohama...........or there the same company as them

ive seen poeple sellin them for £43 each, thats for 205/40/17 a frickin bargain.

the garage near me has kumhos and sells then for 69.99 each and many have told me the nankangs are better and the look nicer.

I can understand why people want a nice looking tread pettern but shouldt traction be more important?

i dont rate em personally. i was strapped for cash last time i had to change my tyres so i bought a set of ns1s. in the dry they just good enough and in the wet they are terrible.

it is due to this that i tend not to throw my car around corners at 80+ like i have done in the past when running proxies.

had a go in a mates car using GDS3s and the grip was noticably better.

good on a budget or for short use but dont expect too much out of them. they do seem to wear well tho.

i think theyre poo. they do last for ages though. i had them on my phase 2s on my RSi for a bit before i realised how bad they were and replaced them all even though they had loads of life left in them. in the wet i can only compare them to driving on soap! in the dry theyre ok-and thats it.

I tried Kumhos on my last set on my Evo.

For some reason it turned my car into a tail happy thing!
