Anyone here driven the MKII V6

Hi

Im thinking about a new V6 Clio MKII and wanted to know if there are any owners of the MK1 here who have already had a go in the mk2? What is it like? Does anyone know if UK dealers are taking orders already and would I expect any sort of discount from the list price.

Thanks

Wibbl.

I read the other day that the first allocation of Mk2 V6 Clios have been either sold or ordered.

Mr JC loved the V6. Said it was the only car to hold together during there track tests, he said they usually have problems with the cars they test, but the V6 they didnt.

No you cant place an order yet, maybe this coming week or the following one, ask your local dealer.

No discount on a uk car but no doubt the car supermarkets will be selling parallel imports so you could always wait for one of those.

No test drive availible yet and knowing renault there wont be any for a long time. They might have a used mk1 for you to have a go in but that will be it!

Thanks for the comments.

SteveV6 - are you thinking about the new version (I assume you have a MK1). If you have one then are you pleased with it? Would you get another? What do you think of the reviews you have seen so far.

Wibbl.

To V6 or not, that is the question.

Wibbl, Mk2s been on order for over two years, and yes, these cars are the POODLS PRIVATES!! If i could i would keep the mk1 and have a mk2 but finances wont alow:(

Still, to have either/or is great!!

Obviously i havent test driven a mk2 but its getting great reviews, cant wait to take delivery.

Some people would say they would rather a scooby or an evo and fair play to them, but myself its v6 all the way. The jap cars are technically better cars but the whole point of v6 is its madness, looks, handling, braking etc....

People slate it, even some on this forum, but for me £27000 doesnt buy any new car that comes close to it in the looks department, and thats what i like, its a real head turner!

CLIO V6, ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTE!!

Dash, I take it this means that if father Christmas left one for you then you would politely send it back saying "no thanks, id rather have any other Clio than one of these if its all the same to you, a 1.4 would be ideal".

Wibbl, Dash is saying he has a v6.

Steve, I agree, its a compromise between looks and performance, everyone has different ideas on where their line is drawn between the 2. Personally, I would also go for the v6 over an Evo, although it is a close call.

Would now be a good opportunity to to call you a lucky feckin b*****d? ;) Congratulations though. The blue is gorgeous.

No one fancy silver then ?? Thats what im going for. I know its down to personal taste but i dont like the silver air intakes. Plus the silver on the mk2 v6 is the same as that on the mk1 172, titanium, this is really bright, spot on in my opinion!
