Anyone measured HP with torque pro ?

Got 126HP max for my ph2 172, 1035KG + my weight . Means roughly 150HP at the engine.
Got a very accurate reading for a new car though - 135HP (159 at the engine) for a 160bhp engine.
Anyone measured too ?

The car is probably nearer 1100 on it's own. My phase 2 is 1080kg with a quarter tank of fuel

Yeah mate. My friends work has a calibrated weighbridge.

I imagine 1035 is the dry weight but I don't really know

Any idea how to check if engine power is normal ? I get 110 wheels hp in this test most of the time ...
I don't have a clue how it should feel, but I believe it lacks power, beyond what it should.
Can't measure 0-60 as the gearbox isn't fresh enough to abuse, and no other clios around to compare.

Get it on a rolling road, will cost you £30-50. If it is down on power I'd be getting the timing checked by one of the specialists on here.

Don't get me wrong I don't go launching and 0-60 ing my car at all but why is the gearbox not okay to use? just boot it through first into second and you'll be at 60 it's only one gear change?

It's not even that, you give it in gear acceleration with no gearchange.

I got given a very low figure with RSTuner Performance Analyser (works in the same way), put it on the rollers and it was making healthy power.

If yours is a phase 2 172 and is not a 172 Cup its base kerb weight wet is 1,110 kgs. The phase 1 was 1,035 kgs so I suspect Renault just didn't update the user manual.

As for the accuracy of Torque there's far to many unquantifiable variables at play. You'll probably get a more accurate figure for your car by reading tea leaves.
