Anyone on parent insurance with direct line?

^^as above, im a named driver on my dads policy, and am aware that when youve got a years no claims you can pass it on to your own policy.....but it has to be with dircet line
well say if you earnt another no claims on your own policy...can you THEN pass it on to another insurance company (with 2 years no claims)..or do you allways have to stick with direct line?

no i have done it i was on my dads till i was 21 and when you transfer them on to your own policy you only have to be with them for another year and then you can go with who ever you want
