Anyone use a specific engine builder on here?

Good morning gents,

After some advice regarding who people use to build their engines on here?

I'm quite confident with most things except timing, and changing piston rings, bearings etc...

Ideally looking at doing this at the end of summer as the car is under going a full nut and bolt rebuild.

Just happy to hear off people and who they seem to use.

My local machine shop builds engines, warranty on all the work, been going for years and years..

I don't see the appeal of dragging myself half way across the uk to hand it to someone, who hands it to their local machine shop, get it back and wrap it up for you...

Cut out the middle man, hit the yellow pages, they'll bolt most of it together, cleaned, machined, balanced, lubed, sealed short blocks..

Why take it to someone who builds engines between working on cars when you can take it to someone who drinks tea between machining/building engines.
