Would rather take the old lambda out and stuff the hole with a potato than fit a universal one.

The renault OE one is a bosch unit. You can pick them up for around £60.00 upwards

It's such an important sensor it's worth spending money on.

I fail to see why a universal sensor would not work as long as the plug fits, all sensors will output the same generic 0-1v output. Although i would not question buying a cheap make. Bosch seem to reign supreme.
