Anyone with acer laptop........

or a laptop with bluetooth,

on my laptop i have two buttons on the side one for turning wireless on an off and one to activate bluetooth. But even if i have my fone near the laptop with BT on wen i press the button it jus ses no BT device, wtf how can i sort it, i cant find it in files etc on the act comp.

do u deffo have bluetooth?

coz acer use the same shell for ones with BT as the 1s without.
ie. buttn still there, but thres nothing for it to activate?

oh maybe but am sure in the description it sed it does. PLus wen u press the button it ses on screen no BT device, unless tht means no device in laptop not no device in range.

Right Click 'My Computer' and select 'Manage', then click 'Device Manager' on the left of the new window and look in there as that should list it if you have it.

I have an Acer, it has the bluetooth button, but no bluetooth on my model, you can upgrade it and fit the bluetooth apparently for some money.

Mines the Acer 5050, I think the model up has the bluetooth, they just use the same case.

Another thing which you have just reminded me is if you take the panel from the back you can see the additional module, there will be one for the wireless too.

if it says "no device" when you press it, it means that bluetooth isnt installed in your laptop.

same on my GF's laptop, the switch is there but the module isnt. Apparently about £40 to get it installed. not sure where from tho
