i had apex -40mm springs on my cup and the handling was immense...

i found the ride really good and handling great not bouncy either i think they are a good set of springs

The apex kit I had on my 1.6 actually made it worse in the end, and the ride was shocking. Crashey as fook.

I have standard shocks on the front with apex springs and apex springs and shocks on the back on my 5door, and i dunno if its the extra weight at the back the extra doors give it but it handles UNREAL and has been commented on by others. I'd agree with bmh.01 though they are a bit crashy and very hard with the shocks aswell

Dont quite understand that ? So your apex springs on your 182 made it handle really well ?

my apex springs seem like they handle better than the standard set up imo... BUT, they are a very, very firm ride. which is why im selling mine soon and getting some sportlines or prolines

apex look really good, but i beleive they eat your shocks for breakfast... heard of new shocks going in a couple of months.

If you are getting coilovers in 2 months anyway... whats the point of buying lowering springs, regardless of whether or not they are temporary.

Keep it std

I've experienced all the spring options... without going for coilovers.

standard, Eibach Prolines, Apex, Eibach Sportlines, PI, and now cup packs.

If I had to pick the best, it would have to be the Eibach Pro's.

If you're getting coilovers soon anyway, far better to keep the car standard and learn its handling characteristics that way mate.

Will make you a better driver when you get them :)

Cheers for the info, the plan was to get 2118's and apex 40mm till i can afford H&R's got about 650 quid this month "ish" to spend on the 182 so not enough for H&R's but theres some other stuff i could do with so may sort the brakes this month and get H&R's month after then..

Cheers for the good responses anyway
