Apex or Eibach?

  182
Ha you guys are funny.

Eibach are probably better, but as far as springs go there are only two factors - one, it doesn't break and two, the spring rate. If the spring rate is what you need, then fine, use it but the cheap ones will weaken quickly over time, assuming they don't break.

So, use something with correct spring rate that's made of decent metal. No free lunches.

flol statement of the month there mate:S

I love my Apex springs for a temporary measure ;) If I was going to keep running springs I would have gone with Eibachs but as im not, I didn't. Bring on the Billys in the new year!

I don't live by the rules. Not looking to keep them forever so im not bothered, just wanted a nice drop for the time being, imo the handing is ok along with my 25mm front spacers but yeh they do give a stiff ride. I've had them before along with Gaz Gold Coilovers and 'Ktec'/Raceland/ROKKOR coilovers and they aren't 'to bad' really. Im sure Eibachs are much better but im not for jumping on the bandwagon just coz everyone else says they are amazing. Whenever Apex springs go up for sale on here they are sold quickly so they are still in demand for a quick, cheap drop.

I had spax springs with billies on my old 106, it handled really well however the ride was harsh! Eibach sportlines do get a lot of praise on here but if you want it low then go for the Apex springs. You won't get the best of both without spending a fair amount on coilovers.

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
I can't get my head round why people ignore the middle ground with springs. Why is it always cheapest or most expensive brand??

Guess it comes under the following the crowd mentioned above. People should be more careful of advice from forums, it's full of enthusiastic people who love what they've bought but havn't actually tried any of the alternatives
