Just be careful dude dont get me wrong it looks clean but as james said check for belts/service history ETC let us no how you get on with it matty

I'd say if its all straight belts done and no dodgy history i would say £1200 would be top whack for it really and thats being generous

This is the problem with rolling roads figures, they just vary so much.

If the guy paid to have it rolling road tuned then of course he is going to mention the result.

Forget the power claim its still a tidy looking phase 1 and if you just look at it as the car rather than the advert. Its on eBay at end of the day not a trade ad.

If you look at the print out of the bhp figures, the date is 2006 haha

The owner has owned it since 2004, confirmed on hpi. Doesn't matter if it was rolling road'd in 2006 and he has receipts for all work done and spec hasn't changed since. As already mentioned they vary so much anyway... expect the power to be more around 160-170bhp anyway... It's just if the belts need changing again (depending on exact date they were changed last/or mileage) if they do it will be an expensive car, so will see later.

Because the 130WHP is wrongly labelled, its 130 after driving the rollers, so that is taken into account too I would imagine.

also the 130 only became 189 as measured on the day, the 194 was after temp correction to allow for it being a hot day.

But obvioulsy its not actually 194 anyway, clearly a nonsense reading.

Pleased to say I purchased this last night for a bargain price of 1200 as the belts were changed in 2005 and 2009. Will be starting a project thread soon as I plan to track it next year, thanks matt.

There were phase 1 cup racers, but it wasnt until the ph2 that renault cashed in on the term for road cars.
