Yes but you pay for it. I don't wish to pay for cloud space tbh.

79p a month? I'd rather that than an extra £150 on the phone. Plus what happens when you loose your phone?
I don't know if I'm just thick but I genuinely don't get wireless charging.. it just makes charging worse, less flexible.
You can't charge and use the f**king thing at the same time. It's just a total gimmick. With a cable, it's plugged in and you can use the phone. With 'wireless' it's stuck in that exact location if you want it to charge. Mental.
I only really use it when going on a plane or something, for watching movies.Bet that looks cool [emoji28]
I was thinking the opposite tbh, since iCloud I can't see me needing more any time soon. I've got about every photo / video I've taken in 6 years (approx 12,000), a s**t load of apps including TomTom etc and a bit of music (mostly stream now anyway) and I'm nowhere near the 64GB limit. iCloud photos just works seamlessly to keep the full size versions of old photos in the cloud so I don't use all the space.
That’s what’s putting me off, don’t want to get one now as it seems a waste if cellular doesn’t work, but also don’t want to get non cellular as Three will probably support it in the future. Eurgh. So if vodaphone decide to do a sim later on can I add it to the AW3?
Do I have to click now cellular knowing I cannot use it as im on voda and its EE. GRRRRR
Just wish it was clearThat’s what’s putting me off, don’t want to get one now as it seems a waste if cellular doesn’t work, but also don’t want to get non cellular as Three will probably support it in the future. Eurgh.
Bullshit (asshole, no one liked the. Laptops would explode if that was case with Li batteries!Using the phone whilst charging it also wrecks the battery.
Quoted so if/when you get the new iphone and discover how good wireless charging is you can be reminded.
I use it everyday at work, just have a pad on my desk and plonk the phone on it when battery gets abit low.
Am in/out a fair bit and using the phone sometimes so find it much more useful than faffing around with a cable.
Charging pads in cars is ace, no issues with going somewhere and finding your battery is on it's last legs when you arrive.
Mind you, this is on Android where battery life isn't great anyway, plus new iphone is supposed to be even better.
I'm a heavy business user of my phone and generally it only gets charged at night, put it on before I go to bed, wake up fully charged. Done.
If I had a wireless pad by the bed every time I checked the time, or answered a message, or set my alarm, or anything then it'd come off charge. It just bares no use for me.

If anything it's better isn't it? No need to be dragging a lead around when checking or unplugging it if you need an emergency 2am dump.
Hopefully there now won't be issues with charging the mrs iphone or my android, should just be both able to use wireless pads??
(She's always breaking or loosing her cable, then moaning her phone has run outa charge)
That face ID will definitely 100% work. Even though he fucked it on the demo. Haha. They’d never release something that was worse than Touch ID, which I think works brilliantly as it is.

If rumours are true that Apple couldn't get under the screen TouchID to work, and that it will be included in next year's device, then it could be a winner.Apparently it doesn't work very well at all. Lots of reviews saying that it needed to be held at a specific distance and angle etc and even then it was very hit and miss as to whether it unlocked, they kept having to turn the displays on and off on the demo units to eventually get them to unlock. And this is with the demo units trained to a specific member of apple staff.
Touchid is convenient, you can be unlocking the phone before it's out of your pocket, with faceid, you have to get it out, hold it up, wait for it to recognise your face, swipe up to unlock. It's just not as fluid or convenient mechanism.
Plus to pay for stuff, now you have to double click the side button, hold the phone up so it recognises you and then touch it to the reader - again, it's not as convenient as just hold the phone over a reader and then hold your finger on the touch sensor.
I think the phone looks stunning, I'm less than convinced about faceid being anything other than a bit of a hinderance.
Two things.
1) I do not get face id. They shouldn't have put it in as the only way to unlock the phone. even swipe up to enter passcode as a second option would be better. You can only set up one face with Touch ID. Meaning I now won't be able to see when my Mrs has been on the cheat.
2) Wireless charging. I completely agree with @Rob . What is the actual point. It not wireless charging because the pad needs a WIRE!! f**king pointless.
Will still get one though. Baller gotta ball.
If thats the case. Thats good but I've not seen it.You can still swipe up to enter your pass code...

If wireless charging does become truly wireless then it will be brilliant. However, if your phone is constantly charging when you're at home then surely that will degrade the battery quicker? Two things.

I'll be face id a go but ill probably just use a code and disable face ID. If you can that is.It's a back up in case face ID doesn't work, same with touch ID.
I'm sure it will at some point but like you say, not until they have worked out how to save battery. If wireless charging does become truly wireless then it will be brilliant. However, if your phone is constantly charging when you're at home then surely that will degrade the battery quicker?
Yep. It was quite funny, he went into an instant sweat. He must have been major panicking that it was going to work on the "backup" phone. Also did nobody see the actual Keynote. Face ID failed on the live test lol.

True ColoursVisual voicemail?

I've never understood why these presentations aren't fully staged?
They don't need to show an actual phone working, just fake it and demonstrate how it will work - no-one will know the difference.
