You mean like 8 bit=mastersystem, 16 bit=megadrive, 64 bit=n64 etc?

I have no idea about the iPhone tbh.

The Arm CPU is 32 bit, but it has an interesting history. Originally designed and implemented by Acorn computers it go spun off into a separate company which was mosly owned by acorn....and.....apple. (the arm CPU powered the Newton which was apples first foray into mobile computing all those years ago). Back then it had a 26 bit address bus, and all instructions were 32 bits long. The cortex uses the thumb instruction set which has instructions pegged at 16 bits wide.

Humn, did I say interesting?! Lol
