apple macbook touchpad.

the touch pad doesn't seem to click properly... seems to be stuck down...

anyone had this? guess i need to go and see a genius... :/

Mine is fine. Then again its only a week old. Go visit a genius!!

Saying that my shift button doesnt work right, i have to tap it 4/5 times to get caps lock on!

No. All fine here. Tap to click FTW though. Very rarely click mine unless it's for dragging stuff around.

If you mean the CAPS lock, then that's a feature, not a fault.

You need to press and hold it briefly. It's to stop the lock being enabled by mistake. It's a feature on all MacBooks.

Mine did this about a year ago, is it the unibody glass trackpad? If it's in warranty of any sort then it takes them about 30 minutes to do. If it is out of warranty it'll be about £85 to replace. Mine's been fine since though!
