Ok here we go. My iPhone 5 and ipad 4 were working ok and receiving my emails with no issues. But since last night on both devises I get the 'cannot get mail' the connection to the server failed.
i have not changed any settings on either of them btw. The strange bit is my phone receives the emails when I'm out the house so why not at home?

Is the Internet working through Safari on your iPad? Seems to be a home Internet problem from what you describe.

Yeah, connected to Internet on pad and phone as not good for 3G when I am inside the house.

How strange? Just got back and picked my iPad up and hey presto I have emails again!! Mmm
