In case you missed it (I couldn't see a thread on here already)...

Leopard is delayed until october.

Yep, because of the iPhone.
And, tbh, I'm glad.. cus' I want an iPhone more than OSX.
Tiger is absolutly fine.. so a few months more of waiting is nothing.. iPhone, however, is quite important.

There's still no release date for the iPhone in the UK though and no list of carriers eithers.

Given that Apple went with a single carrier deal in the US, it's more than likely that they'll be wrapping up (or wrapped up) a similar deal in the UK. Given that the cool features are operator and iPhone specific you'll need to be using it on that operator anyway (even if you could unlock it) to make the most of it.

They'll probably announce something like an exclusive deal with 3 or something!

I'd prefer leopard over iPhone for those reasons!

Well, that sort of model won't work here I don't think.. it'll have to be on all networks, surely!
Altho, if it does, it'll be someone like Vodafone cus' they're so large or similar. I don't care, as long as whoever has it, does unlimited data usage (a la webnwalk)

I'm off the the states later this year....I'm gonna try and get me a iPhone:)

OSX Leopard can wait;)

To live? Otherwise you are aware that it's only available on contract from cingular? It'd sure make a pretty paper weight back in the uk though!

I read in MacWorld this was the case....I also read once they come out it won't be long till someone unlocks one so basically SIM free. If I can't get one no worries..... but no harm trying;)

The rumour i hear is that Apple themselves will launch a UK MVNO that ties in your itunes account and has flat rate data which includes wifi hotspots.

(T-Mobile based MVNO)

  Citroen DS3 DSport
I'd read that T-mobile will be the likely UK partner as Apple have apparently made an agreement with them in most other European countries.
