I personally remove them every time on my cars because like to know i have a leak when they develop #becausefrenchcar

I have 2 here. come and take the bloody things away. god knows why you'd want one

I had an oil leak, but every now and again the old residual oil makes it's way down to the linkage such as today,
i'm going drag racing a week tomorrow so don't want the scrutineers to see any moisture under the car.

I'm going to clean as much as the crap off as I can, but if I can stick a tray on then there's nothing for them to see.

Just to clarify to everyone, i'm not running down the strip with an oil leak,
it's just left over crap i'm going to clean off and i'd like to hide the linkage just in case they're ultra arsey.

I'll pop down next week and grab one if you're about, don't suppose you have any of the bolts knocking about as well?

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
Racing or Run wot you brung? they won't even look at the car if it's RWYB

bolts are easy, got plenty

Oh ok, in that case i'll just wipe as much sh*te off as I can then.

I just don't want anyone asking why the underside of the car looks like it has a leak when it doesn't,
that's the only reason I was thinking a sump tray would be a good idea.

French cars have ALWAYS got some residue around the sump or engine/gearbox join, mine has yet it never appears to lose a drop of oil on the dipstick!

Funny thing is those sump tray bolts cost about £4 each from Renault LOL.

Undertrays, agree with Dan. Pointless.

They all have a crappy oil residue around the linkage/underside!

Shakespeare scrutinise the cars on RWYB days, albeit no in depth. Just check the battery is secure and your seat is booted to the car LOL. Don't think they checked for leaks
