Are ford escort front wings welded into place?

Bit of a random question on a clio forum i know! But just need to know if i can change 1 myself!

Edit: Mk6 1997 if that makes a difference!

If you open the bonnet on the car you will see its spot welded all along the top of the wing.

oh its only welded along there?

If i was to buy a new wing would i need to get it welded in before its sprayed or can you weld painted metal?

I Expect its welded at the bottom where it meets the Sill as well.

Weld then Paint.

grind the welds of remove wing . line new wing up drill a few holes were bolts would be on a normal wing and rivet in place touch up with aerosol . job done end of the day its only a escort no point in payin top money for a cheap car unless its holds a certain value to you ( or its a cossie )
