Are the bulbs for projector headlights the same size as for reflectors?

  Arctic 182FF
Just wondering if I can fit the bulbs from my standard reflectors into the projector (172 xenon) headlights that i'll be fitting at the weekend. Or are the a different size/type of bulb? If so, could someone please tell me what size i need or send me a link for bulbs you'd suggest. Thanks

They're a different type altogether mate. Can't remember the code though sorry! D2S or something. I'd seek confirmation though!

Thanks Jesus, judging by the results from a google search of D2S, it seems that's the right bulb.
I was planning on fitting these tomorrow afternoon but i won't be able to get the bulbs by then, is it still possible to change the bulbs as easily as before once the xenons are on? Or should I wait until the bulbs arrive before putting the new headlights in? Thanks

Passenger sides easy but the drivers side has got a couple of pipes in the way. Best to just take bumper off and take headlights out. 20min job.

I'd wait too as it can be a ballache because the xenons have different bulb connectors. Very fiddly job! I wouldn't want to be touching the xenon bulb with my fingers either so I'd want to be as careful as possible.

Ok, it's just that I'm only here until Tuesday and since my Dad will be helping me to change the headlights and he'll only be able to help over this weekend. Trying to find somewhere to buy the bulbs from, can get them £15 online but they wouldn't be here until next week. Only place I've found is halfrauds who want £50 which is ridiculous.

Again I'd wait rather than spend ANY money at Halfords, if you can get them cheaper elsewhere then do that and fit them another time.

It might mean giving the job a go on your own but it isn't too difficult. :)

I do tend to avoid halfords as much as I can. Just checking that the correct bulbs are 35w D2S HID's?
