are these any good...



  Corsa C 1.4 SRi
Power band - 4000 - 7000 rpm

Works with the Std ECU (Fuel Mapping required)

Approx 20-25 bhp increase
Torque to approx 180 ft/lbs


Does exactly what it says on the tin ;)
 
They don't say who's make they are (GDI don't make they they buy them in) but I think MarkM had them on his car.

On the same site... they obviously sell the SMT6 .... are they any good? Where can i pick up a cheaper one than what they want?

Now that there are companies who can remaped the stock ECU out there I wouldn't bother with an SMT. A custom remap is about £350 ie cheaper than an SMT.

You cna buy them from the manurfacturer direct its south america I think a forum member used to have a mate working there might be worth a check it was ages agao might have been on the old forum and could sell them for less.

standard ecu can be used, but depending on how far you are going to tune your rs (eg tb's), an omex or similar is needed. i have these with an smt6, torque is currently at 181lbft (@4.5k revs). i think they are catcams of Bens own design? as for the workings of them, il leave that to somebody technical.
