Arrrrghhh help needed!

Car  Black/Gold 182
Just got my tax disc (for those of you who have followed my problems) went to start the car and the key won't turn in the ignition! (it worked yesterday) Am I doing something stupidly wrong? Also the alarm goes off sometimes when I open the car, what's that about. Please help me, I desperately want to drive it!

is the steering lock on? it can make it harder to turn key.

Plus alarm will go off if you open door too quick, just one of those things.

i had the same problem with the key, not sure if its the same though

basically if the ignition is on and you try to start the guy, but dont start the engine if that makes sense, you have to fully turn the key back to the start, then all the way back round.

some sort of lock if you mess up starting it which means you cant just try again from when the ignition is on

well wiggling it a bit sorted it out, just had my first drive, too much traffic around to really push it and need to run myself in as much as the car considering I've only owned one car previously and it was automatic. Very impressed though.

glad i could help! had the same problem couple days after i got my, i was like what???

looked in the manual and found out straight away, if in doubt ---- check the manual!

was it the steering lock? wiggling the steering does release the pressure on the key to be able to turn it.

lol.polarbert, not sure what you are on about. :-)

Regarding your alarm, try giving it a few seconds before opening the door after you've unlocked them, mine does it sometimes if i'm too quick opening after unlocking.
