what do u sync at now?
extensions can cause problems such as disconnections or low throughput/sync
you would be better off having your router plugged into the master socket and running cat5 from your router to your pc.
you can't work like that.
if sync rate improves on the master socket then you need it there for 3 days for the BRAS profile to update.
you never answered the question. what are you sync'd at, and what do you sync at on the master socket?

that is maximum sync rate, so not much point in moving it, other than if you are experiencing disconnections.

run the test and see what comes back at your IP profile.
now it says im giving them the wrong username ! do they just want the name or name@plusdsl.net
your username for your isp, so whatever is in the username box in your router settings.

nowt wrong with practically 6mb. sounds like contention either at your exchange or within your isp's hardware/centrals, or perhaps it's just traffic shaping at a particular time.

im going to try the bell wire thing tonight and see if it improves at all if not i shall just krone it backup
there is no point in trying anything else, there is nothing wrong with your connection, it is your isp or your exchange where the problem lays, whether that be contention or deliberate shaping.
