Audio Question

Hi Guys

Been looking through some threads but couldn't find the answer.

I have a standard sound system in my 172 P2. I noticed recently a sort of 3.5" jack port near my gearstick, can anyone confirm what this is for, I dont have anything to test it with currently, I was maybe thinking it could be an input for a iPod or something similar?

Any help would be appreciated.

unless aftermarket fitting they dont come with them,if its near the gearstick youll probably find its the alarm led but someone has pushed the centre through

That would add up mate, never knew there was one there, always noticed the one on the dash.. Thanks for your help mate...Looks like I am going to have to upgrade

Yea I am not keen on the renault stock system, just thought I'd try it for a while, on previous cars everything seemed much easier upgrading, with the clio I hear its ideal to take the dash off if replacing the tweets, although people say it is easy, its not something I have ever done. may give it ago at some point lol.

Apparently taking the top of the dash off is a 5 minute job... I've not done it yet but will do soon!
