yes, theres a button with a picture of padlock on it underneath the radio and above the climate control area.

press it for a couple of seconds, i think it beeps and it will be activated. have a look in your manual for RAID (renaults anti intruder device).

i think thats about right....im doing it from memory so could be wrong!! lol

right and from then on - it will automatically lock the doors automatically when the car is moving?

i would imagine you would have to press it each time you were in the car. Why do you want them locked anyway. Dont the police etc advise against that just in case you are involved in an accident.

What Pootle said sounds right to me.

Once you have done that the car will lock itself automatically once travelling over 4mph.
Pulling the door handle from the inside releases the lock.

Also, the locks are released when the airbags/seat belt pretensioners go off apparently.

no it automatically locks as soon as you drive off and a certain speed is reached!!

if you press it and hold it down again for another beep the system is deactivated.

i never used to have mine switched on, but it was activated (not by me!) after making a few drives through birmingham city centre!!

Sorry - so im presuming you dont have to do this everytime you get in the car once activated it will auto lock until you repeat the procedure on the centre consol!?
